@manton I am so so sorry to hear about your mother passing. Please accept my deepest condolences. And how wonderful that you and your family got to spend those last few weeks together, at home. A small treasure, I’m sure. s your memories will be over the coming months.
Thank you again for all your time and effort with Mirco Blog, I for one am happy with the platform, and have no intention of leaving. It’s still one of the best indie places to blog and to connect. Long may it be so.
@manton my condolences, Manton. I felt emotional just reading this. Let the tree grow fast and strong.
@manton My deepest condolences.
I know all too well how you feel. My dad died two years ago, shortly after my 40th birthday. It’s hard, incredibly hard.
I wish you lots of strength!
@manton so sorry to hear about this. Your work has meant a lot to me over the years. From longer posts to the single photos. My wife makes fun of me for getting so much joy out of the photos of iced coffee you post, the small mundane things in my RSS feed help me appreciate everything around me.
@manton Bless you, Manton. May you have peace in your grief. And may you someday sit in the shade of that oak and remember your mom with gratitude.
@manton Oh, man. I’m so sorry to hear about this. I know myself how tough this one is. My condolences for your loss. Take the time you need to sit with it. We will all still be here after.

@manton Sorry for your loss Manton, a tree is a wonderful way to remember her. I lost my uncle recently, but even to the end he was so upbeat in regard to hearing everything all of us cousins were up to.
I’m sure your mom was happy knowing that you are working on something you are so passionate about, and with the family you’ve built.
@manton I’m so sorry Manton. Parent loss is one of the most difficult things we must endure. Peace to you and your family.

How precious that you could spend that time with your mother. I’ve lost my mother to illness during Covid, being far away, and it was terrible.
Thank you for your work at Micro.blog and hope you can enjoy sitting under the shade of that oak soon enough.
@manton I am really sorry for your loss. The tree is a beautiful way to acknowledge the loss and celebrate your marriage.

@manton I am so sorry and wish you peace. I lost my mom right before my first daughter was born and even now 26 years later there are still little things that bring a wave of memories back. The echos of her life continue to resonate for me and I wish the same to you and your family. Treasure the echos.
@manton I’m so sorry to hear about your mom. My heart goes out to you. I lost mine this year as well. We lost my dad in 2007. Having been able to witness both of them pass was such a blessing.

@manton Sorry to hear of your Mom, my condolences. I hope you get to sit under the shade of the oak tree with your family and remember her together.
@manton Thanks for writing this. I know you usually don’t share to this level, and I’m glad you did. I’m very sad to read this, and at the same time, I’m happy you’re here and sharing with us.
I hope I don’t sound like a cliché when I say I feel like a better person today because of you and what you do. I write more and explain more and share more. I’m more compassionate with people online. I have stronger beliefs than I did before about the web. And I’m proud to be part of what you built here, as little as I contribute.
Thank you for all you do. You really make a difference, Manton. Thank you.
@manton My deepest condolences, Manton. Having recently lost a family member I can imagine a part of the pain you’re going through, but I also know we all grieve in our own way and every loss is unique. I really appreciate providing MB to nurses for free — I so appreciate the care that was provided to my sister in her final days. Good luck reducing and concentrating more, I’m sure you won’t regret it.
@manton I’m very sorry for your loss. Your care for her these past months is a powerful testament to your love.
