@manton thatâs part of why I pay for the service, so I donât have to figure out and fix these kinds of things
@manton what Iâm trying to say is âThank you for continuing to work on making this a better and better experienceâ
@manton I figure itâs a sign of growth. I use it as an opportunity to do something Iâve been putting off.
@manton I was reading about Eugene Rochko struggling to cope with the recent boom in Mastodon membership and it just made me glad that Micro.blog is basically designed to always grow at a gradual pace. The âalways-onâ addiction of the web over the past 10 years is one of those things that I hope an increasing number of people will now reject.
@manton Thank you!
I work on server software, so I know this kind of thing can be stressful. Appreciate all the work going into MB!
@manton Thank you for all you do here. Iâm always amazed at how you keep up with it all.
@SimonWoods I read that too and feel for him⌠@jean and I were talking yesterday about how the Twitter fallout is a marathon, not a sprint. Maybe itâs even a very, very long walk. No reason to get burned out with lack of sleep.
@SimonWoods @manton I hope he doesnât introduce âquote tweetsâ in Mastodon. Sudden gain of power can be tempting. Here Iâm trying to figure out how to de-boost my account so donât want to think about whatever the term it will be for Quote-Tweeting.
@pratik Agreed. Another reason Iâm happy to maintain Micro.blog as my final attempt to have a personal digital identity; I would rather give up on the timeline-based web than partake in âquotingâ culture.
