@manton I figure it’s a sign of growth. I use it as an opportunity to do something I’ve been putting off.
@manton I was reading about Eugene Rochko struggling to cope with the recent boom in Mastodon membership and it just made me glad that Micro.blog is basically designed to always grow at a gradual pace. The “always-on” addiction of the web over the past 10 years is one of those things that I hope an increasing number of people will now reject.

@SimonWoods I read that too and feel for him… @jean and I were talking yesterday about how the Twitter fallout is a marathon, not a sprint. Maybe it’s even a very, very long walk. No reason to get burned out with lack of sleep.
@pratik Agreed. Another reason I’m happy to maintain Micro.blog as my final attempt to have a personal digital identity; I would rather give up on the timeline-based web than partake in “quoting” culture.
