I’ve adopted the Paper theme, by @amit for my blog. Which also meant upgrading the version of Hugo. I don’t think it broke anything.

@canion Nice! Glad that nothing broke :) I also need to handle the navigation menu for long list of items.

@amit Haha, yes. I’m definitely pushing the boundaries on that one.

@amit do you know if there’s an incompatibility between Paper and the Surprise Me plugin? Or is it the Hugo version jump that has stopped it working? 🤔

@sod Do you know if there is an issue with the Surprise Me plugin with Hugo 0.91?

@canion oh interesting. Not that I know of. However, I don't use the plug-in yet. I can try it with my test blog and report?

@amit @sod I realise I had deleted my archive page and thought that might be the cause. I’ve added Archive back but have now hit the bug where the Archive page isn’t seen as a “special” page and isn’t being populated. I’ve emailed @manton for help to get that page back up and working.

@canion @sod @amit About to reply to your email, but I don’t think deleting Archive would break anything else.

@canion @manton We've observed that the redirection function in Micro.blog is a bit fussy when it comes to trailing slashes. Does the full URL, https://canion.blog/surprise-me/, and path, /surprise-me/, appear like in the screenshot below when you navigate to Pages → Surprise Me!?

@sod @manton That did it! Interestingly I didn’t have any URL in the page contents box at all (🤔) and my URL didn’t have the trailing slash. Now with both those fixed it works again. Sorry if it was dumb user error.
