I’m continuing to use ChatGPT all the time. On a whim today I asked it what the philosophy of Micro.blog is and it nailed it. You can read the transcript here.

@manton I am also finding more and more uses for the tool. Very good summary on the part of AI.

@JohnPhilpin @manton However, my Q during Micro.camp was more on the lines of, tell me what will NEVER happen on Micro.blog? What are those red lines?

@manton This is a great use of ChatGPT ☺️

Additionally, Micro.blog values diversity and inclusivity. It aims to create a platform that welcomes and respects different perspectives, fostering an environment where individuals from various backgrounds can share their voices and experiences.

BTW I might ask you to be wary of (the bolded part) framing coz often right-wingers use "diversity of opinion" as the sole factor in promoting diversity. It's the whole concept behind "free speech on campus".

@manton Interesting to compare with the message WTF Does This Company Do? takes away from M.b's website copy:

Micro.blog is a website that helps people create their own personal blogs easily. It allows users to post short or long content, including photos and essays, and share them with others in a friendly community. Users can follow others and engage with their posts. The website also allows users to connect with other platforms like Twitter and Tumblr. It offers blog hosting plans that start at $5 per month and include features like cross-posting and custom themes. The website is managed by a small team that aims to make the web a better place.

@pratik Yes, that can be code for what we do not tolerate: hate speech and harassment under the guise of freedom of expression.

@jean Of the people I follow and appreciate on M.B., I'm pretty sure that some hold views that others find loathesome, and that this goes in a couple of directions. So I'm grateful for M.B.'s present diversity. Just so's you know.

@pratik Oh interesting, I didn't think of that interpretation. To be clear, I'm not going to use this AI-generated text as the basis for a blog post. It's good but not really the way I would've written it.

@KimberlyHirsh That is interesting. Sounds more about specific features and less about the big feature.

@manton Yeah. A useful tool for figuring out how closely messaging is aligned with philosophy.
