@JohnPhilpin It would be interesting to see if Dave corrects himself because that's quite a misunderstanding. I, for one, am very excited to tinker with this change. I want to see what a 300-character post looks like in a timeline. Likewise, for a 600-character timeline. I bet @manton made mockups.
Also, I want to see who "cheats" by making a one-word blockquote and using the rest to write a longer post ๐
@pratik @JohnPhilpin That will be funny to see if anyone cheats. Of course, the cost to cheating is you have an annoying out-of-place quote cluttering up the rest of your post. ๐
@manton @pratik @JohnPhilpin Oh, I intend to cheat alright ๐. But honestly what Manton has come up with seems to be the best solution that adequately caters to both the opposing camps in past discussions. Love it.
Edit: I cheated already. :P
@manton @pratik @JohnPhilpin @moonmehta To all the cheaters out there, I present 600-character limit without a quote. ๐
@sod Bah! that is smart!! I'd think that people would just add > hack
at the end of a long post to enable 600! But that is next level sir! ๐ฉ
