We just sent another Sunlit 3.0 beta to TestFlight folks. Here are a few screenshots. There’s a TestFlight sign-up link on the web site.

@simonwoods Thanks! I'll admit it's heavily inspired by Twitter, but I think it's the right UI for Sunlit.
@manton Interesting that the line break after the hashtag in my photo post didn't work in Sunlit, though it worked on Micro.blog.
@macgenie Hmm, I hadn't noticed that. I think Sunlit currently simplifies the text to display it, but we should update it to preserve that formatting.
@manton @macgenie Yeah, that's one of my feature requests. All text is essentially converted into a caption, irrespective of how you design it in the new editor.
@macgenie @simonwoods Yeah, there is a disconnect right now because the new editor is designed to scale up to full blog posts, but the timeline in Sunlit isn’t yet.
@manton The screenshots look great! I am not familiar with testflight, probably should do that, but will wait for the official version. Thank you for the constant improvements!
@manton Version 3 has been so good, thank you for your hard work. I’m so thankful to have found my instagram replacement.
@gregmoore @manton one of the things that lured me into micro.blog was the potential for an Instagram replacement with Sunlit. I’m looking forward to the official release of version 3.
@mikehaynes I've learned a lot, but nothing specific to apply to Micro.blog iOS yet. Next step is Micro.blog 2.0 which is more about functionality than design.
@manton That makes sense; photo-based timelines are best when the focus is on the images, after all.
@manton Yes, please! 🤩 I was on Instagram a long time ago, but FB ruined it for me. I was also on Flickr before Yahoo, and I’m back, but haven’t uploaded anything. I have Sunlit installed, but I haven’t given it much thought, but this version seem really great put together! It might inspire me to take up photography again. 📸
