Does anyone know how long it should take for a book to show up in micro.blog’s search after I add it to Open Library? I went through this process yesterday, adding a book in Brazilian portuguese, but it still doesn’t show.

BTW, the ISBN-13 is ‎978-8550806136.

@danielsantos We don't search using Open Library right now, but a direct ISBN lookup will find it: micro.blog/books/978.... Still adjusting what sources we use for search.

@help I had no idea there was an URL from which I could make a direct search. Thanks for pointing it out! Yet, how can I add the book to my “currently reading” shelf using that information?

@danielsantos On the search result page, there should be an Add to bookshelf… section where you can add the book to one of your shelves. But only if you're signed in to your Micro.blog account.

Sometimes when you follow links, they open in in-app browsers or a browser where you're not signed in. When that happens, you must sign in or switch to a browser where you're already signed in. Also, see this conversation. Ping @manton.

@sod yes! The link was indeed being opened in Micro.blog's internal browser. Opening it from Safari did the trick, and I could add it to my “Currently Reading” shelf. You, sir, are amazing. Thanks!
