Had a dream last night that I went to Best Buy to buy an extra Jaz disk. They didn’t have any, but I was able to get one from Amazon that arrived to the store within minutes. Not sure what it means… Maybe I’m worried about backups.

@manton I miss zip discs. If they could only hold 100 TB apiece instead of 100 MB. And maybe they had little embedded Wi-Fi radios that could transmit 10 GBE.

@manton This brings back memories of my days in graphic design. The size of the event graphics I was producing often required a Jaz drive, sometimes two. I had a library of 10 of them, and dozens of Zip drives as well.

@adamprocter I was trying to remember if it was Zip or Jaz that was notorious for failure.

@manton Jaz was bigger but worse. There should be a parallel port Zip somewhere in this house if you need one.
