Thanks, @maique. I don't know whether I'm going to continue posting links here, however. I may stick to Tumblr and Facebook for those. That's atomicrobot.live and www.facebook.com/groups/at...
@MitchW If it helps, I read practically every post here, in order to find things to add to the Discover timeline. And sometimes I'm inspired to reply. The welcome page has tips on building your community, if that's what you want here.
@jean Thanks, Jean!
The addition of a customized per-post cross-posting was a big deal for me, and very welcome.
For me at least, the great cross-posting tools are the reason I use mb. It's a great blogging platform too, but there are alternatives that are also great To my knowledge, there's no alternative to micro.blog's cross-posting.
@MitchW I am following you here.
I found that when I first joined Micro.blog that I was so used to indications that people were reading my posts and following me (from other platforms), it was very disconcerting and I had this sense that I was shouting into the void.
With time, personally I have found this to be a relief. It lessens my own want for that feedback and I (try to) concentrate more on just posting. Don’t get me wrong, I feel good and appreciate when people respond to my posts, but I have noticed a lessening within myself of looking for that.
@annahavron Thanks, Anna!
@crossingthethreshold Thanks! I participate in a number of social platforms, so the feedback will continue.
@MitchW Although I don’t often reply to your posts, I always welcome them, because they are often funny, informative or infuriating (not because of what you say, but because of the injustice that you talk about). The lighter posts is what I am most looking forward to though, and I hope you’ll keep posting them here, although Mastodon or RSS is also fine, but I’m afraid that they might drown in the masses over there.
@odd Thanks, odd. If you like the memes and vintage photos, I'm still doing them at atomicrobot.live and www.facebook.com/groups/at... This platform isn't really suited to those, which is fine.
@MitchW Hehehe! It's a photo from when I was playing with my daughter (we were prepping for halloween one year) and it's crept into my profile now. Yours is great too!
@MitchW Well, if it helps, I do read everything you post. Just post the good stuff and rest assured people are reading it. On those ’like’ platforms, they’re not even showing everything you post to the people that follow you.
@herself Thanks! It’s a detail from the cover of the very first Superman comic book, that introduced the character. Lower left corner.
