Micro.blog does not show follower counts. It doesn’t tell you when somebody follows you. It has no concept of a like or favorite. There are definite benefits to this system. The addition of a customized per-post cross-posting was a big deal for me, and very welcome.
For me at least, the great cross-posting tools are the reason I use mb. It’s a great blogging platform too, but there are alternatives that are also great To my knowledge, there’s no alternative to micro.blog’s cross-posting.
