@manton How was it? As someone who lives in the heart of Cajun country, it’s typically a bad sign when a “Cajun” restaurant makes a New Orleans (not a Cajun city) reference.

@manton How was it? Always up for a little jambalaya.

@Mtt I liked it, but @traci might have other opinions... 🙂 We may need to sample more of the menu.

@eurobubba Didn't try the jambalaya! I had the red beans and rice and sausage. It was good (although a little salty if I'm being nitpicky). I'm not a restaurant critic, though. 🙂 Neat place with a sort of bar vibe.

@Mtt agree — like pick one don’t try to be both! Also not a restaurant critic, but I feel like the trendy/hipster vibe doesn’t work with Cajun places, didn’t feel very welcoming. I do want to go back and try more of the menu. Intriguing mix of Cajun and creole options, don’t think I’ve seen “rice and gravy” on a menu before! Grew up with that at home.

@traci A non-book post/reply? It's been more than a year!

@traci Yeah, that try to be both thing is normally the downfall. I find you can tell which one they really are by the color of the food. Red = Creole, Brown = Cajun. The menu has "Poche's Boudin" which would be interesting for me to try. The actual Poche's is one turn from my house.
