Tried the new Cajun place that opened a couple weeks ago, Lil’ Easy.
@manton How was it? As someone who lives in the heart of Cajun country, it’s typically a bad sign when a “Cajun” restaurant makes a New Orleans (not a Cajun city) reference.
@eurobubba Didn't try the jambalaya! I had the red beans and rice and sausage. It was good (although a little salty if I'm being nitpicky). I'm not a restaurant critic, though. 🙂 Neat place with a sort of bar vibe.
@Mtt agree — like pick one don’t try to be both! Also not a restaurant critic, but I feel like the trendy/hipster vibe doesn’t work with Cajun places, didn’t feel very welcoming. I do want to go back and try more of the menu. Intriguing mix of Cajun and creole options, don’t think I’ve seen “rice and gravy” on a menu before! Grew up with that at home.
