Hi, I’m trying to connect my WP blog to m.b. In brief I don’t want all short posts to appear on WP main feed. I see categories can be used to filter the feed but im struggling to understand this. If anyone has advice or links, I would be very thankful as I’m not very techy.

@tomc Are you trying to send things from WP to Micro.blog, or vice versa?

@tomc If you only want posts to show here you can delete the post from WP once posted. The Ultimate Category Excluder plug-in allows you to block a category from being displayed.

Do you want to keep microblog posts available in a WP menu or in the sidebar on the WP blog?

@tomc Okay. If you have a WP category for your short posts, you can find the feed by adding /feed to the end of the category URL. Copy that URL and go to the Feeds & Cross-posting page on M.b. Pastel the URL in the box that says "RSS or JSON Feed" and click the button that says "Add Feed."

@sod Thank you so much for advice. I think I have cobbled together the feed from my WP blog.. But don't think the pics work as I don't have a plan here.. Anyway Ill keep tweaking and see what happens.. I would be much happier to post everything here but for the mo its not possible..

@sod The first one turned up as a link and thought this won't please my adoring public 🤣 now that it appears as pic I don't want to anger the m.b gods so ill quietly tip toe away.. haha.

@tomc Yeah, backing away slowly is sometimes the best tactic. 😆 Have you read Timeline display rules? That might explain why the first one turned up as a link. Maybe.

@KimberlyHirsh Thank you for replying meant to reply before my test ran out. But couldn’t work how to activate my selected feed to m.b. But now I seemed to have everything working. So 👍🏻 the help. Tom

@sod no I didn’t see that. I saw the general help for feeds. But now it’s sorted I’m not touching anything! 😀
