How many of you have moved your sites to micro.blog? It’s certainly enticing. I’m just curious how many have actually bit the bullet and made that change. @manton are there any official number you can share? Apologies if this has been posted elsewhere.

@thaddeushunt I don't have any numbers to share yet. Some people have started brand new sites on Micro.blog, others have moved to Micro.blog from WordPress, Squarespace, and other blogs. Let us know if you have any questions!

@thaddeushunt for one reference point ... I started a new site - that now includes my old 1999 archive and slowly adding pages that will eventually become a launch pad into the rest of my digital presence ... john.philpin.com ... certainly not there yet.

@JohnPhilpin Yeah, seeing a good bit of that going on with other micro.blog’ers. It makes sense. My hesitancy lies with moving a site with almost 2 decades of content to a platform that is still young. I love it here though, it's super refreshing. I'll think on it some more. Thx!

@thaddeushunt Interesting question in the sense of what does “move” mean? I would say I have moved/recreated my blogging at Micro.blog. Initially I used their hosting but for now I’m hosting my content on my own WordPress. But I post via their apps and use their cross-posting.

@thaddeushunt I didn’t move per say but replaced MB with my twitter account and enabled myself to blog a little longer. I think some more theme work and custom JS / CSS and Improved Pages I would promote more to use instead of Squarespace and Wordpress

@thaddeushunt does moving back to my own site thanks to m.b syndication count?

@ronguest in my case “move” means abandoning my old site/platform for an MB hosted site. I am aware of the various ways you can utilize MB to cross-post to different platforms. However, I’d like to commit to one platform and not spread out too much. Thanks for the input! 👍🏼

@adamprocter thanks for the response. It’s much appreciated! I work in frontend web development on a freelance level and was relieved to see there was room to tweak look-and-feel elements of MB. It’d be hard sell for me personally, if it was otherwise.

@gerwitz yeah! Absolutely. 😊 it’s not exactly what I want to do, but I do love how MB has liberated people in different ways. I currently selfhost WordPress and plan on dipping my toes in with MB’s crossposting. Thanks for the reply! 👍🏼

@Bobfa I am in the exact same boat! Was thinking of moving my personal self-hosted WP site over to MB to start. The simplicity of MB is a strength IMHO.

Thanks! I really appreciate the reply and the endorsement. 😌

@thaddeushunt That was my desire too, but it isn’t quite ready for my needs yet.
