In case you’re still waiting, the IRS portal now has a payment date for when you’ll receive your ‘stimulus’ check (if direct deposit).
@gpittman I would've guessed that it's not yet perfect for everyone. I just checked for my wife too but since we file jointly, the payment date is the same.
@pratik We file separately because of divorces and custody agreements. A bit of a hassle but the alternative would be more expensive.
@pratik Thanks. I have a date now. I don’t know why Direct Deposit wasn’t used, and I’m disappointed I have to get a paper check with an unnecessary vanity signature on it. 🤦♀️
@macgenie We got our Stimuli very promptly. (We're passing them along to some people who can use them better.) I think the explanation is that we file out income tax online and give the IRS account numbers in which to deposit our refunds. Apparently that's the first list that the gov't is using.
@JMaxB I did file online and have paid and received refunds via direct bank transactions, so that’s why I was surprised.
@macgenie Didn't you enter in your bank info last time? I really did not want a paper check just for that reason.
