Shocked to hear that Heather Armstrong has died. See: dooce.com, Wikipedia. One of the great early bloggers. Rest in peace.

@manton The Wikipedia page is going back and forth between entries and deletes. It doesn’t say anything about death at the moment.

@manton Saw the announcement on her Instagram account. Really shocking news. She was one of my inspirations in starting a web presence.

@odd The only source at the moment is a post on her Instagram, followed up by a seeming confirmation by her ex-husband. Not enough sources for Wikipedia.

But unless someone has hacked her account and is playing a tasteless joke, it seems to be true. God, I feel for her children.

@cdevroe I first heard it on Bluesky, linked to her Instagram profile. Wikipedia was also updated but keeps changing, apparently.
