My take on a personal climate impact assessment and plan. 🌍 As others have noted in recent similar threads, I'm not suggesting that personal action on climate is the primary or only action needed. Far from it! I'll continue to be a loud-mouthed advocate of action at every level possible. In the past I've h... beardystarstuff.net

@Denny I appreciate your writing and your ideas. They have an impact on me. Is there a tool for keeping track of one’s personal impact? I would like to keep track and use the info to target improvements I can make.

@odd @jean @Miraz

Looking around I found a calculator at nature.org though I'm sure there are others. It might be a good place to start. As a nerd I tend to enjoy tracking stuff in a Numbers spreadsheet. Over the years I've used that to track miles driven and kWh used per month. Most other things I have a pretty good sense of just because of how I live: working from home, single, tiny house, it's pretty easy for me to micromanage. 😂

@Denny I just took a questionnaire at WWF Britain. I was at 101% of the average UK footprint.

@Denny I came out much better in that calculator with 71% better than the average.

@Ddanielson @Denny @miraz @jabel @patrickrhone I see from the calculators I checked, and my daily electricity usage, that I can possibly reduce it some. I’m currently at ~15kWh a day. That includes heating/cooling. Turning unused things off seems like the most effective option.
