@manton Do you have to #tag the word Inktober, or will it work like for NaNoWriMo (ie without the #tag)?
@kaa Without the tag. It will find the word if it's just mentioned in the post, no need for #
.
@manton These are some great features Manton, should make the experience on the web a lot better. Especially the gift subscription is a wonderful idea - would be a nice way to inspire more (hesitant) people to join the m.b community. Kudos and thank you! ๐๐ฝ๐
@manton this is great, thanks Manton. That link you included on webmentions was really useful as well.
@manton I really love the gift subscription idea! It'd be neat if I could also include a short personalized message (thinking ahead to Christmas here), but I understand if you're worried about potential spam uses.
@manton Great new improvements. Love the gift feature - is it possible to gift existing users? Ie. Could I gift myself? (I'm trying to avoid monthly exchange fees, would be happy to pay annually.)
@syneryder Thanks! Including a message is a good idea. When they redeem it, it does show the name of who invited them, and this could be expanded.
@oyam No way to use it for existing users yet, but we can consider it. It would be a nice work-around until we have yearly payment for all subscriptions (planned for next year). Now that I've done this I can also manually apply it to other users if you want to send me an email.
@smokey Thanks, I've removed the few that showed up incorrectly. (It was because "nanowrimo" was in one of the URLs.)
@manton Is gifting subscriptions still a thing? I can't see the option. Or maybe only hosted users can gift?
@theguycalledtom Somewhere along the way the link got out of date and removed. From the web I think you can click here and still access it. Thanks! (It does require a paid subscription to be able to pay for someone else's blog.)
