We're halfway through 2024 and I still can’t hand off (/Handoff™) music Mac ↔ iPhone on Apple Music.

(Or, if I can, I haven't the damndest idea how)

@caseyliss I have the opposite problem- my iPhone randomly hands off to the HomePod and Apple Music won’t control it any more.
(Even worse when listening on desk speakers in the other room and the kitchen HomePod takes over control of those…)

@caseyliss i know, it shouldnt be so difficult should it? spotify does it so why cant apple? granted apple is slowly and steadily incorporating features from spotify ie proper "play next" so i'm guessing we'll get music handoff with macos - ios in a few years. it's coming, just whenever apple feels like it.

@dmoren @caseyliss very much this! When the iPhone came out I had a list of things I wanted to have on it before I would switch from my Nokia smartphones. This is of the last things still not done [iphone 5 was when I switched]

@caseyliss You can **play** music in Apple Music on the Mac? It doesn’t work for me half the time. Play button on the new Yello album? Might as well not be hooked to an event handler. Play on Yello Essentials, Oh Yeah. New album again? Nothing.

I should probably reinstall MacOS 95 but it’s easier to use the browser or go find my phone again.
