@bix ha! I'm with you on that one. @manton it's good that this is now a viable option for those that don't want everything posted.

@bix Heh. Me too. I think for most people, it's a lot easier not to worry about this. But it's there if someone needs it.

@manton Thanks for doing this. There are some topics I donโ€™t want to post to the timeline but also others Iโ€™d rather summarize periodically than have every single one on the timeline. Especially for a lot of personal projects. I can now feel more comfortable using my blog to document those without cluttering the timeline.

@Zak It has to be somewhere on your blog, even if it's just in a feed, but it can be hidden from the home page. This help page has some tips about using custom themes for that.

@manton thanks! Another small but great feature. If I'm understanding right, a post that isn't in the timeline would also not get cross posted? And could I have 2 "timeline" categories - one that feeds the timeline with cross posting and one that feeds the timeline without?

@jpayne You've got it right. It is possible to have 2 feeds from the same blog, with the disclaimer that the same posts shouldn't appear in both feeds.
