Testing new image import feature using PESOS from Mastodon —> Micro.blog with a photo from a few weeks ago of a dragon made of Christmas lights and spitting flames in downtown Caldwell.
@bryan It was not rolled back but I see there was an error trying to download the image, so it skipped it. I just fixed the problem for Mastodon feeds, should work going forward.

My main hangup before was that posts would be linked to the Mastodon source. So when I inevitably change instances, or a personal instance crashes, it breaks the links.
No longer an issue, and so long as quality remains good, I think it will be fine. One big downside might be alt text. I don’t know if that transfers over.
