Testing new image import feature using PESOS from Mastodon —> Micro.blog with a photo from a few weeks ago of a dragon made of Christmas lights and spitting flames in downtown Caldwell.

Not the expected behavior as the blog post is still linking to the Mastodon hosted image and the photo does not exist in my Micro.blog uploads section. Has this update been rolled back?

@bryan It was not rolled back but I see there was an error trying to download the image, so it skipped it. I just fixed the problem for Mastodon feeds, should work going forward.

I’ll let you know. I’m thinking for photos:
Croissant —> Mastodon —> Micro.blog

My main hangup before was that posts would be linked to the Mastodon source. So when I inevitably change instances, or a personal instance crashes, it breaks the links.

No longer an issue, and so long as quality remains good, I think it will be fine. One big downside might be alt text. I don’t know if that transfers over.
