When adding a brand new feature, I expect a few people ask: “Why not make the boring old features better first?” That’s fair. But I think we need to do both at once.

@manton This is a hell of a marketing campaign you're running. I feel like you should have a countdown clock at the top of Micro.blog.
@simonmumbles That would be fun! Maybe next time. (We won't over-hype everything we do, but I could see a couple big things over the years where it would fit.)
@manton I’ll be honest — I felt that way when you were developing the Micro.blog Mac app, which seemed like a niche project rootedin your love for the Mac. But your care & deliberation in adding features won me over. I trust your judgment, even when our priorities diverge.
@manton I agree. I think it’s always important to be improving old things and making new things. People using the old things will never fully be happy with it, but you’ll never make new people happy just improving stuff that already exists.
@manton I don’t know if what you’re releasing today have anything to do with this, but for a couple of minutes there all I could see in my Timeline were posts from you, and just you.
@vishae I see that happen to me whenever I follow a new person. It seems to make my timeline wonky for a little bit.
@vishae Thanks, probably unrelated. If you just followed anyone, it takes a few seconds to update the timeline. Usually it'll be correct again after a reload.
@manton I did this for a small community once. It's fair to say it mostly caused anxiety, heh.
