Finished drafting tomorrow’s newsletter for my paying subscribers. Feeling good about it (although slightly guilty that this is not going on the open web. But then, this is a topic I’ll return to on my blog, I’m sure).

@adders For paid newsletters, I think sites like Stratechery and MacStories try to balance this by automatically making the members-only articles public after some number of months. Members still get all the value, but long-term the open web has a copy.

@manton @adders I think this model works well, especially if you're publishing free posts and the like as well as anything you put behind the paywall. I mean, assuming that's possible and fits in with your whole publication.

@manton I suspect that’s going to end up as my long-term plan, once I get the rhythm sorted (and enough subscribers to make it worth continuing…)
