Having a difficult time finishing books this year. Keep starting new ones but not ready to officially let the other ones go. So just going back and forth between multiple books. Need a couple short books to get out of this cycle. 📚

@manton I had the same problem. Re-Read Roth‘s Deception. Only Dialogue and about 200 pages.

@manton If you enjoy science fiction, you might want to try 'Story of Your Life' by Ted Chiang, if you haven't already. It's a very short and dense novel. The movie 'Arrival' was based on it.

@condie I listened to the audiobook shortly after it came out, otherwise it would definitely be on my to-read list. Fast-paced helps get through a reading slump.

@bonfire Thanks, I didn't know that, but really enjoyed Arrival.

@manton I feel ya. I have eh too many books (30 or so I think) on my increasingly inaccurate “currently reading” bookshelf on Goodreads. What does help me finish books is trying to stick to one book per format (audiobook, ebook, physical) which does help.

Current audiobook that I highly recommend is Uncommon Type by Tom Hanks (and read by him). Really phenomenal collection of short stories and not surprisingly incredibly good audiobook. But also exceptional character portraits and writing.

@manton If you are looking for a short book, I recommend Legends and Lattes by Travis Baldree. Short, fun and a nice twist on the fantasy genre.

@matthewlang I read that and enjoyed, but it's a good reminder I should pick up the sequel, thanks!
