@manton Related question: do @mentions also have that issue, or is their scanning routine different? I’m not sure I’ve done a titled/long post with an @mention before, but I have wondered about it several times ;-)

@smokey If there's a title, Micro.blog will ignore the post text, so any @-mentions will be missed.

@manton I had wondered about this too as it seemed mentions in long posts were ignored. Why? How do you recommend doing longs posts that need to @ mention people?

@ronguest I think it would be confusing if a post showed up in Mentions but there was no username in the timeline. It could also be used to spam users by just including a bunch of usernames in the full post text, forcing the user to click to see the post.

@manton I’m sure you know this, but just FYI, the data communication side of syndication is pretty well worked out with Micropub. Using Micropub config to get what syndication options are available (Twitter or Facebook) and then just including “syndicate-to” in the mp request

@manton A minor irritating bug — the editor in iOS app for considers “_” in hyperlinks as italics indicators. Markdown’s to blame — but I guess need to handle the special characters in editor.
