Gah .. image not posted … again … only have access to a phone … so can’t edit post in the app and retrospectively add … this is getting beyond a joke

@JohnPhilpin do you have the photo on your phone as well as the m.b app? @jean gave me a tip the other day when one of my photos didn’t attach. Go to Uploads in the app -> upload the photo -> copy the html link -> edit your post to add the html link.

@meandering yeah I use that a lot — reported to @manton … that for me has been failing … albeit inconsistently. Particularly when uploading favorites and no edit of post once published workd on iOS .. so I need to fix on Mac app. Truly annoying.

@manton I encountered a similar issue in the iOS app a few times. I successfully uploaded the photo from the editor (waiting for the progress bar to finish), then added some categories, and returned to the editor. When I published, the photo was missing in the post.

However, this problem stopped occurring a few versions ago, so I didn't bother to report it. Those were the steps I followed.

@otaviocc That is great info. Sounds like maybe a bug when switching screens in the app.

@manton I might have added the alt text as well, ehich is a different screen.

@manton no if I try to upload picture in advance I get inconsistent behavior. .. the fail gives no message it just doesn’t upload … but if. Post at ‘one go’ all is fine … but then I can’t edit in iPhone app.

@JohnPhilpin We just submitted an update to Apple, so I'll be curious if that fixes anything for you when it's ready. If not, maybe @vincent will have ideas.

@manton I’m going to add an option to open the upload section from both the posts and pages edit screens, so you can get your images over for the next release. Cc: @JohnPhilpin
