I assume Jean is a micro.blog user, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to follow her or comment on that post via that link. I can't even figure out her username to ask her myself. What am I missing?

@manton This disconnect shows up in Discover RSS feed. Great posts, but sometimes you cannot find the connection. If lucky, that particular window of Discover still stands (you don't run out of page) and you can find them there. But, if that has lapsed, no joy.
