Exploring Glass encouraged me to revisit Flickr. The latter is technically better (despite the bugs and UC mishmash) but people are active on Glass. If I could have only one, it would still be Flickr. Why can’t that site be more successful? 📷 : blog.andrewcanion.com

@canion I wouldn’t rule out a Flickr comeback, but I think when a platform gets a reputation of being “old” — and missing mobile didn’t help — it’s harder for people to give it another chance. It’s much more fun to chase the new popular thing.

@manton @canion I have been trying for years to get into Flickr, I think I am even currently paying for the Pro thingy and I always forget I have it or that it even exsists. Even if I move it to my homescreen, it gets negleted. Glass is such a joy to use…

@manton @canion I’ve been a paying user of Flickr since forever, but never got in the habit of posting or visiting. I think Glass is attractive because it’s more like the old Instagram, a place to enjoy a photo at a time, where you don’t get overwhelmed with uploads of lots of photos. Flickr is suited better for libraries and organization. I think a lot of folks are testing Glass out, but I wouldn’t say they are active there.
