The silver lining is that it wasn't totally unexpected and perhaps gave me the excuse to finally cut ties with a toxic workplace. I spoke up for my colleagues and asked for more consistency. Guess no good deed goes unpunished. Also, this takes away any excuse for me not branching out on my own or seeking other options.

@pratik really sorry to hear this. I am glad you see it as an opportunity. A a balance of sticking up for what is right and not annoying the seniors can be difficult in some work environments.
