I’ve started recording the things I’ve watched but it’s a bit plain. Does anyone else do this on their Micro.blog? I know there are other websites but I don’t want to do that. Basically, can we have a Bookshelf but for TV and films?!

@Omrrc I use Letterboxd for movies and Trackt for TV. Both are excellent and you can integrate them into Micro.blog. It’s best to rely on other dedicated websites coz they’re attuned to the type of data it involves.

@pratik @Omrrc rumor is that Letterboxd is adding TV sometime this year. Like you said, it’d be nice for all this to be native to micro.blog, but I’ve found Letterboxd integration (via their RSS feeds) to be a pretty good way of showing what you watch on your blog.

@jordon That's nice that Letterboxd may add TV shows. I wonder if we should explore better integration with Letterboxd before we add this as a built-in feature. Like a one-click config that uses their RSS feed. (Eventually, we do probably need our own thing.)

@manton I think that's a good compromise. If Letterboxd has the hooks (and it seems like they do) to provide a good integrated experience, let them do their thing and tap into it. If the experience starts to go downhill, maybe that would be the time to start exploring bringing it in house.
