I like @manton’s (and others?) idea of having a microcast. I really want to like it but feel weird listening to someone’s 1-way thoughts. I’ve been thinking about getting back into podcasting and want to try it. What do you all think of microcasting?

@jnjosh Im also thinking about starting a microcast but I might do something more produced, like an NPR segment.

@jnjosh @colinwalker produces a regular one. That's all I know of though.

@jimmymansaray @jnjosh Thanks Jimmy. The only other person I know is Mark-John Clifford with "It's All Mishegoss" but his episodes are a little longer so it depends on the limit we apply to be a microcast.

@johnjohnston @colinwalker The two of you wrote about a collection of microcast a few months back and mentioned my OPML. I've been away from micro.blog for a while, so I totally forgot to answer this. Anyway, my OPML is in dire need of an update. Do the two of you have any suggestions for microcast feeds to add?

@MrHenko There’s the Percolator microcast by @aaronpk which recently started. I don’t know of any other new ones. Mine’s still on hold (5 weeks now) as I’m currently not able to talk (or allowed to try on doctor’s orders!)

@MrHenko like @colinwalker percolator.today is the only new one I’ve found. Would like some more as I’m enjoying listen to shorter casts now. Need to pick up the micromic again myself.

@johnjohnston @colinwalker Percolator is the most recent one for me as well and it was the finding of it that got me thinking about microcasts again. I've added it, and Colin's feed, to my microcasts OPML. Let me know if you find any more microcasts.

@johnjohnston Thanks! It seems like I still had the old URL in the OPML, even though I had the current one in Overcast.

@MrHenko @johnjohnston In case you haven’t seen it, @adamprocter has just started a microcast here - it may particularly interest you John as it’ll be about tech and education.

@MrHenko I love that my subscription to the Opml in inoreader updates and I get @adamprocter’s microcast without any work on my part:-)

@johnjohnston Now that's quite handy! :) Do you listen to podcasts in inoreader, or just microcasts? I use Overcast for both but as far as I know it doesn't support OPML subscriptions, just imports.

@johnjohnston I do something similar with Overcast and Reeder (backed by FeedWrangler).
