say, @manton , i am sure a million people have asked for this, but i would LOVE a badge or an indicator on the app when you have unread mentions..

@sergio\_101 Thanks. Surprisingly few people ask for that, so it's been lower priority... But I want to improve notifications across the platform so people don't miss replies.
@manton I actually thought that it was a thing that was coming later. I would also like to see this (having missed a mention or two)
@aamcking Yes, maybe off by default. I personally like my phone with as few notification badges as possible.
@manton Agree with both having an option and it being off by default. Though, oddly enough, Micro.blog might be one of the extremely few I'd turn the badge on for. (I'm pretty sure the only app I have badges on now is Telegram).
@manton Ditto here. I'm quite content with the @reply notifications showing up in notification center. They're pretty easy to hunt down from there.
@manton I would not use a notification badge on the app in SpringBoard, but I would find an indicator of unread mentions inside the apps very useful. Typically when I come across a mention it is just in my timeline, and I feel relieved that I noticed it.
@johnbrayton I have to agree. It would also be nice if mentions were marked as read or unread, sometimes I can't remember if I saw something before so have to check the conversation to see if I replied!
