@jean Nope. Video still broken. 😭 Are other people able to upload from their pre-iPhone 16 Pro phones?
@jean I don’t have one, but they introduced some changes like support for JXL (JPEG XL). I wonder if you might have chosen, or it might have defaulted to a less common format like that. (I don’t know what supports it.) You can control in settings, I believe.

@jean trying to load your video resource on its own, I get a browser console error:
Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 416 (Requested Range Not Satisfiable)
Maybe something @manton or @vincent could look into? More about 416 errors here.
@njr Thanks. I’ve tried changing the format in Settings. It is just one of those annoying things that no one seems to know why it doesn’t work anymore. Frustrating because I like posting videos but I won’t keep up with that routine if it’s not dead simple.
@jean I do notice your new videos are much larger than your old ones, so maybe it's a cdn configuration for how big a video file can be served at. Just a guess of course. Only Manton or Vincent could say for sure.
@jimmitchell @jean @vincent Yeah, unfortunately the video format changed with new phones and things are still broken in Micro.blog. Until we fix it, you have to export as H.264 format before upload.
@manton I haven’t looked at the RN code for the Micro.blog photo picker but if it leverages the Photos Picker from SwiftUI (or another PhotoKit implementation) under the hood it’s possible to set the picker to automatically transcode videos and images to more compatible formats.
@kottkrig Thanks, that’s a really good suggestion. I was looking into converting it on the server but client-side would be better.
