Sometimes the choices we don’t mean to make end up perfect. When I was traveling this year my shoes fell apart and I stopped at a random shoe store in Boulder. They had one pair of shoes in my size, a brand I’d never heard of, bought them, and they are now some of my favorites. Wear them everyday.

@manton I have had so many favorite things acquired that way. Last-minute, impromptu, or immediate necessity purchases that became my preferred items. My husband has had many "happy mistakes" when SWI (shopping while intoxicated) ordering what he thought was one thing, receiving another and the "mistake" turned out to be better for his needs than the original thing he was trying to purchase.

@manton came across this brand looking for lightweight shoes. Glad to hear an unsolicited praise for it!

@manton I love LEMs. They were the top recommendation of my podiatrist years ago. In general, I am a fan of the zero-drop minimal shoes. Xero is a brand I've been loving lately.

@jean Big fan of Xero shoes here! Sadly they haven't worked well for me in the winter (cold, slush, etc), but I wear them almost constantly in the warmer months.

@manton Lems are great shoes! Seems like you got very lucky to randomly encounter them.
