@jean Hi, Jean. How do you get posts to show up in the Discover section, be it quotes, podcasts, or whatever the topic may be?
@philosopher The emoji categories have automated feeds. Podcasts and photos are automatically added to their feeds. There isn’t a quotation category. The main Discover feed is hand-curated following some basic guidelines.
I like the emoji surfacing .. but which one?
Before Micro blog introduced the emoji filtering I had standardized on 📸 for my photos .. not 📷
Over in podcast land 🎙️.. not whatever microblog uses .. can’t even find that in my emojis..
I have no idea if I am the only one … but given that the list clearly allows multiple emojis for the feed .. see music 🎵and 🎶 it might be an idea to take a look the list again.
@JohnPhilpin @jean @KimberlyHirsh @philosopher Photos is one of the special ones that doesn't automatically collect posts using emoji. It was meant to be a hand-curated collection of photos. I need to update the help page to explain this better.
@jean How do you embed audio tags in a post (podcasts)? For instance, there is only a website link included in the post for this podcast. There is no embedded audio tag there. The podcast is hosted on Libsyn.
How does the quotes tag work? Is this automated?
@philosopher @jean Sorry I missed this... The quotes tag is automated by default, looking for short posts that include a blockquote tag. Not sure I understand the podcast question... If you upload an audio file with a post, it essentially turns it into a podcast episode. You can also upload an MP3 separately and use the Copy HTML button to copy/paste the audio tag into a post.
@help Hi, I don't see an audio file for the posts (episodes) associated with this podcast for instance, and yet it appears in the podcast category.
