People usually say that as a young person, they were idealistic liberal and then turn into crabby old “get off my lawn” kind of conservative as they aged. My experience has been quite the opposite. I was much more conservative when I was young and now I have become a card-carrying liberal.
@odd Don't think it had anything to do with my job. It's just about seeing the World, living and learning about others.
@Parag When I was working in corporate businesses, I was probably a right leaning egoist. I learned how not to in a hard way.
@Parag Same here. In fact, I was a BJP bhakt in the 90s. I think moving here and being exposed to diverse perspectives and experiences helped.
@Parag I just turned crabby, in the sense of “I can’t believe I still have to protest this same shit 40 years later.”
