@mikehendley I like your idea of accompanying your art posts with audio. Is it possible to put an image and a microcast in a single post? 🎨🎤
@Mikehendley @manton It is definitely of benefit to the listener to have the image near the audio play button. It is frustrating with art and design related podcasts not to have the image visible in the app. Chapter images in Castro and Overcast are making it possible though.
@Mikehendley @nibl Yes, you should be able to add a photo with the episode and it will be included in the show notes. (If you’re posting from Timetable you’ll need to add a photo on the web under Uploads and include the img tag yourself.)
@nibl @mikehendley Oh yeah, for chapter images that can be handled in the MP3 outside of Micro.blog before upload. Micro.blog won’t modify the MP3, so any chapter markers or images will be preserved.
@manton A nice addition to Micro Monday would be if the post for the episode had some links to the person's M.b account, web site, and perhaps even some show notes. Probably makes the job tougher but I find I have to Google a bit.
@cdevroe Thanks, I just added a link. Most of the previous episodes should already have links to the guest's username or to other blogs mentioned on the show.
@macgenie Yes I can. I think I saw that the @username wasn't clickable and the show notes had no links to the person's web site so I thought I'd request that. It appears most (if not all) of the other episodes have the name of the person linked. 👍
@cdevroe It is a bit confusing that the user name is not a link in the post title. But the whole title is a link to the post, and there isn't a way to separately link user name there. Anyway, thanks for pointing that out!
