Finished reading: Gilead by Marilynne Robinson 📚💙
A spare, reflective novel filled with wisdom and grace. This one will stick with me for a long while. Marilynne Robinson can write! ★★★★☆
@robertbreen It’s been some time, but I remember really liking this book. Beautiful and gentle.
@robertbreen Just started listening to an Audible podcast, “A Great Book with Barack Obama.” The first chapter features him and Tom Hanks discussing the book as one of their all time favorites.
@Cliff538 Whoa! I hadn’t heard of this! Instant download ……. Thank you!
@robertbreen it’s good!
@Cliff538 @robertbreen this jogged my memory that Obama actually interviewed Robinson at one point! A rare appearance for her, but I guess when Obama asks you say yes.
@isaacgreene I would think so! Hard to say no to that. I believe he mentions that talking to Hanks.
