I made a tough decision and cancelled my MB subscription today. I wanted to use it as my full time blogging platform but I couldn’t get my existing blog posts imported so I’m just gonna use WordPress and start writing again.

@kaa @fahrni Yes, but because WordPress import works fine for everyone else it will take time for me to figure out what is different about that import file.

@kaa Yes, I did. It’s been over a month since I reached out. Like I said earlier this is most likely a growing pains thing. I honestly don’t know how he’s running it with only a couple people.

@manton It’s all good, Manton. It’s just time for me to move on. Don’t worry about my support request. I no longer have a paid account. I do want you to know I think MB is a great platform that I want to see succeed. Thanks for your time and effort.

@fahrni each one of us is on. a different blogging journey for sure. My 2 cents on this is that for the last (nearly) 2 years (?!!1!) Micro.blog has helped me develop my writing muscle better than any other platform. But being a relatively early adopter means that sometimes you have to wait a little. My view is its worthwhile in the end because you finally can focus on the writing and let someone else worry about the rest (mostly).

@kaa Understood. I’ve been blogging for 18 years. I’ve slowed, a lot, in the last year. I switched to WordPress in 2010 after years on Blogger. I’ve wanted to return to a static publishing system for a very long time. I also wanted that system to be turnkey. MB fits.
