Safari on iOS 26 is bugging me enough — especially the extra taps for tab bar items like closing a tab — that I’m switching over to Kagi’s Orion for a little while. I’ve been meaning to try it.

@manton I’ve been using Orion, on and off, for a few days now. I keep going back to Firefox, though. I guess it is not comfortable enough for me, yet. I will keep trying it and see if it ends up sticking.
@manton Orion is awesome—perfect blend of native Mac design and power user tweaks. The completely separate “apps” for each profile and tinting to tool bar makes it a snap to keep my banking websites separate from my general browsing, separate from social media.
@Bruce I’m also a big fan of Orion’s vertical tabs and how you can switch between different saved windows in the sidebar. It makes for great subject-based focus when you don’t need profile separation.
The other thing I love about Orion is how strong the native ad-blocking is. While I like Wipr2 on Safari, Orion’s native blocking is awesome – web pages are so much more pleasant this way.
@manton I'm also on iOS 26 and there's an easier way.
Swipe up from the input field to show all tabs, and then swipe the tab you want to close to the left.
That's the way it has worked for years.
