New iPad Mini with the A17 Pro and AI looks good. At first I was surprised by the $500 price, thought for sure the previous model was less expensive, but no. I’m still enjoying the iPhone Pro Max as a mini mini iPad, but I’m already used to the iPhone size, so it no longer feels very big.

@manton Ah, I’ve been waiting for that. Now I need to make a choice.

@manton - I’ve often thought if they made an iPhone at iPad mini size that I’d buy that. I think if it could only make calls when audio is delivered via headphones that would work.

@manton I’ve been waiting for a new Mini for a while and now that it’s here, I’m not really sure what I think. It definitely seems nice, but not sure it’s worth upgrading from the last generation. Apple Intelligence may be great, but not sure it’s $500, at the minimum, great.

@manton I’ll hang onto my ow previous generation Mini. My hope is that before I need to replace my Mini there is a Pixel Fold style iPhone and I can drop the small tablet all together.

It feels like this would be a desirable destination for Apple since they don’t show the Mini much love in the first place.
