@JohnPhilpin Interesting, I didn't sign up there or anything. I guess that means someone who uses it is following me?
@aaronpk I think the directory was probably "seeded" with a good set of interesting starter links and you were included in that set. The feeds you see in each category are only those "favorited" by the editor or users.
For the complete database of feeds included use the search form. The directory actually spiders the content of each feed submitted and accepted so it is very useful. I submitted my blogs, which do not appear in the favorited listings, but do appear in the search for keywords (ie. "Technorati") that only appear in the body of my feed's posts.
Although the index is still small, it is a useful tool for discovery. The web has not had a free and open RSS feed search engine for a long time. // @JohnPhilpin
@JohnPhilpin Thanks! Pine.blog is still growing, so there's a need for bloggers and advocates to spread the word. Pine.blog is a little different than Micro.blog, in that you don't have to be "on it" for your blog to appear there. It's a combination of some of the features of Micro.blog with a Feed Reader so what you're seeing are @aaronpk's and @manton's personal blogs that you can follow.
