I know there are a lot of football (soccer) fans on here. Does anyone need up signing to the fantasy league ? β½οΈ

@Munish I was looking for fellow fantasy football players in the micro blog community recently too. Do you play the official game?
@thedimpause Ah. I fear playing that would leave me as disappointed as I too frequently am after a Tottenham match.
@gdp @ekcragg @thedimpause yeh there is one for the premier league . I have not done it for a while, but invited to join this year. We could do one for micro.blog.
@Munish @gdp @thedimpause Iβd definitely be up for a micro blog mini league. Think we may have a couple of other takers in @BenSouthwood and @toddgrotenhuis
@ekcragg @toddgrotenhuis @BenSouthwood @thedimpause Please add anyone I have missed off. fantasy.premierleague.com/leagues/a...
League Code: gg0qs9 Looking forward to playing against you this season! Please use your micro.blog handle and keep the link limited to here. β½οΈπ₯ ποΈ
@Munish Excellent! Iβm in!
Afraid I didnβt use @thedimpause in team or user name but Iβm Seagulls & Sardines, Ian Mason . Should read before acting π
@Munish Iβm in! Thank you for setting this up for us. Looking forward to the competition πβ½οΈ
@ekcragg your welcome. You are another one who has scored some major points in previous seasons ππ½ My 10 yr old and I are going to give it a go ππ½β½οΈ
@Munish Do you want a link added to the Discover timeline? I donβt want to boost the signal if you already have enough participants.
@Munish If I click on the link I get sent to a general page, not the specific league. Is that right?
@Munish Iβm sorry if I seem thick, but I donβt see a field to enter the code into. What am I missing here?
@billbennettnz itβs not straight forward. Check the screenshot out. Under more, go to leagues and cups and add the invite code
@Munish Yes, that's from my MacBook. And I'm logged in.
@billbennettnz there will be a a section to register or sign up to league. Unfortunately, not close to my MacBook. You may have to play around with the section to find a join club section. Try this link again
@Munish Thanks. I managed to get there from my phone, but the login page tells me gg0qs9 is an invalid code. ?
I simply could not get into the right place using Safari on my Mac... probably because I have an Ad blocker, but even if I whitelist the page I couldn't get on.
@billbennettnz hmm just checked. Make sure you type it in if copying is causing an issue. gg0qs9 That is a 0 zero
@Munish @BenSouthwood @ekcragg @toddgrotenhuis @thedimpause @billbennettnz hello all. How are you all doing with your fantasy football teams? Out of curiosity, who does everyone support ?
@Munish I'm a Villa fan and they've had two very different games so far this season π
As for my Fantasy team, not a good start; by Week 2 I ended up with most of my defenders having long term injuries and another one not playing full games. For this week I chose to make an extra -4pt transfer to even put a full team out. Have to see if it pays off.
@thedimpause fingers crossed for you. Villa hey, my youth arch is enemy. My team is not even in the premier league anymore. Coventry City
@Munish My team is the Mighty Clarets, Burnley F.C. Shocking start really, several players injured and one red-card.
@thedimpause Predictions for today? Burnley have so many new players, itβll take a little while to get going I think. Iβd be happy with a draw at this stage, to be honest.
@BenSouthwood I'm hoping Villa will be riding high from their 5-0 midweek victory against Hibs and will manage to beat Burnley by a goal (sorry π), but away from home it might just end up a draw.
@thedimpause To be honest, I canβt get my head around Burnley splashing the transfer cash and playing beautiful football. Good young players coming in, including Aaron Ramsey from yourselves. Weβll stick to our principles, but the step up is immense.
@Munish They have certainly had their time in the top division though. Growing up I never really saw Coventry as an arch enemy, it was always Birmingham City, Wolves and West Brom!
@BenSouthwood Definitely difficult but Vincent Kompany seems to be doing a great job, immense in the Championship last season. Hope the results go your way - got to support the claret and blue π
@thedimpause haha that makes more sense. Villa was the closest and the only ones in the premier league at the time. Leicester, Derby, Bham and Wolves took their time to join us. How it has all changed
@Munish rugby and cricket were household sports as a kid so Iβve never really supported a football team. But I do follow Peterborough (where I grew up) and was invested in how Newcastle (where I live) were doing but the takeover stopped that π
