Is everyone pretty in love with FastMail for a mail host? Or do I need to consider others? (Currently using Hover)

Hover is pretty ok, but would like the use of aliases, push mail, and having some issues with connections lately.

@Burk I use FastMail. They annoyed me with a support ticket recently, but they’re still the best IMAP provider.

@Burk I love FastMail! I’m also using ProtonMail as well.

@Burk I love FastMail. Great service and great features. Very configurable with Push, sieve for sorting, and aliases. The Calendar and file features are cool too, though less needed with iCloud.

@Burk I use Protonmail now, but I've used Fastmail in the past, and it's good too.

@Burk I’ve used Fastmail and Mail.app for years. It works reliably so I never really think about it unless I’m paying my yearly bill.

@Burk Another vote here for Fastmail. I switched to them from Gmail about three years ago and it's been great. My only gripe is that my stupid bank always flags the annual subscription renewal charge as fraudulent because it's coming from Australia, but that's my bank's problem, not Fastmail’s :>

@Burk I paid for hover, really didn't like it, and moved over to Proton mail. Mainly for the tight smaller address they give for paid users (yourname@pm.me). It does have a few quirks but overall I've found that service to be aligned to my thinking for a price. If I didn't want a custom email address then I'd stay with iCloud and slowly ditching gmail...

@kaa I wish there were a simple way to use Protonmail with third party apps. I didn't go with them for encryption so much as an intense desire to leave the big tech boyz (in particular, Google) behind. I miss my Spark app.

@Burk I’ve been really happy with FastMail. I used Hover’s mail for couple of emails and found their mail service pretty terrible.

@oyam @Burk oh yeah, they also support native iOS push mail out of the box, which to me as Mail.app user is a big plus.

@grayareas Same here, same here. The iOS app is perfectly fine, just on the desktop I would have prefered to be able to use Spark as well.
