My day went awry in the best possible way. I cut short my bike ride to collect my Fuji X-T5 and take photos of a rare visitor to Waikawa Beach: a Kōtuku | White heron. 🐦

@Miraz I do like herons, and I love that in-flight photo! I don’t think we have white herons in my country, at least I’ve never seen them here.

@odd looks like you may have some white egrets (which are herons)

@toddgrotenhuis Yes, and the number of different ones was much higher than I thought! We usually saw the grey ones where I grew up.
