@jai Thanks, glad you liked the interview! My 2 cents: more people who want to roll their own blogging system should probably use something ready to go (like Micro.blog) and then spend the extra time building other IndieWeb tools instead. But I totally get the desire for something custom. 🙂
@manton I agree with that :) we got an awesome blog platform on micro.blog I use my own VPS to make and break things, though I have some WordPress installs to keep my costs down I can’t afford to host everything on MB 😂 but have consolidated and MB is my main blog (obviously)
@manton Yeah completely agree. Though being disciplined enough to not shave the yak though... Plus I think there’s something about the motivation that led me away from the big siloed platforms that makes me to want to own everything. Probably not uncommon in the Indieweb movement perhaps?
