If I reply to someone via MB to their Mastondon account (which I follow here and in Mastodon) will it use my comptable Mastondon account to reply or my connected account (these are different - I know not really a good idea probably) as I can’t see the reply outside of here yet?
@adamprocter The reply uses your Mastodon-compatible ID. I've been experimenting with only using my Mastodon-compatible ID, and phasing out my Mastodon account. Which means I stopped cross-posting to @ jean @ zeppelin.flights. Ideally, I'd only use the one account, but sometimes I pop back over there to see what I've missed and find new people to follow.
@macgenie thanks, makes sense. I think I need to keep my mastondon.cloud as different group though I find mastodon pretty confusing in terms of users . However should I see the MB reply in a Mastodon client? When viewing from my mastodon.cloud account
@adamprocter You should. I have gotten responses to my Mastodon replies from Mastodon users. I'm going to test this. I just started following my zeppelin.flights self. If the universe explodes because of some infinite social media recursion, you'll know who started it.
