@ridwan @val Thanks. No cause for concern. We have loads of earthquakes in Aotearoa. The time to worry is if I actually say something's seriously wrong. 😁

@Miraz well, that's good to hear! Do you have any interesting or important advice, tips or anecdotes about what to do or what not to do during an earthquake? As someone from Texas, USA, earthquakes are new to me...and after the earthquake here on Monday night, I was thinking that I should probably know more about them πŸ˜…

@val to clarify: from Texas but not currently in Texas, if anyone reads this and thinks there was an earthquake in Texas πŸ˜…πŸ˜…

@val Your apparently simple question is causing me a lot of thought. I may need to write a longer blog post in reply… Keep your phone charged and in your pocket / right beside you in case you need to leave the building in a hurry. You never know when an earthquake might come, so that's a general life rule. 😁

@Miraz I am better about keeping my phone charged, but that's because power outages are more common here (maybe 2-4 a month?). I think overall there aren't a whole of earthquakes here, but I think that tends to translate into complaceny. I've never heard of or seen an earthquake drill here, even fire drills are scarce. And I don't have faith in building codes here (if they even exist..)
